Job overview

Oak Lodge is a special school for students between 10 and 19 who have hearing, speech, language, and communication needs.  We have a highly successful Residential unit. The school runs Deaf First, a traded service providing communication support for students in colleges and classes for adults with hearing impairment.

This is a school where you can make a real and lasting difference to the young people in our care. We are highly ambitious to provide our students with the best education and preparation for a happy and successful life in the adult world.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will:

  • Be an inspirational leader who can shape and deliver our strategy
  • Have the passion and energy to raise the level of achievement and outcomes for all our students
  • Be robust in meeting the challenges of a changing educational landscape and increasingly complex needs
  • Build strong relationships with all our  stakeholders and the outside world

We would welcome visits to see the school, meet students and staff, and have the opportunity to ask further questions. Please contact our Business Manager Karen Chapman to make an appointment on 020 8673 2137

We encourage applicants to make on-line applications wherever possible at the link below.

Alternatively contact Lily Toppo on 020 8871 7967 or e-mail csschools@wandsworth.gov.uk to receive an application pack or with enquiries regarding the application process.
