Job overview

Due to the retirement of our longstanding and highly regarded Headteacher, the governors, children and staff seek to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, inspirational and caring Headteacher who will build upon our current strengths and high standards to further develop our outstanding school. We are looking for someone who can ensure that learning remains enjoyable and enriching for all.

The successful candidate must passionately support our school’s mission statement. We are proud to treat everyone as individuals whilst valuing and celebrating their achievements as part of the wider school community. If you believe you are that person then we welcome your application.

Our next Headteacher will have:

  • Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher experience
  • Proven successful leadership and management experience with a clear, shared vision
  • An enthusiasm and passion for learning
  • High expectations and a proven ability to raise standards
  • A willingness to further develop our broad and balanced curriculum
  • The ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Will promote inclusion and diversity
  • The ability to maintain and develop partnerships between children, staff, parents, governors, other local schools and the wider community
  • Excellent communication skills, open and honest
  • The enthusiasm and empathy required to be an outstanding leader
  • Will continue to ensure effective safeguarding is in place
