The Trust Board of Magna Learning Partnership, together with the Academy Governance Committee are inviting applications for the post of Headteacher at Wyvern St Edmund’s Academy. Two schools, having worked as one for the past three years, legally amalgamate from 1st September 2022, creating an exciting opportunity for an excellent and experienced leader. Wyvern St Edmund’s is a successful and oversubscribed 11-16 Church Academy with around 1350 students on roll.

Applicants for this role must:

  • Demonstrate a sustained record of school improvement and success at leadership level
  • Be an experienced and dynamic leader, able to build on the strengths of the academy and lead it into the next exciting phase of its development
  • Possess an unwavering commitment to improve, accelerate and enable ambitious life goals for all young people in the academy
  • Be a strong communicator, able to develop deep and meaningful connections with the whole school community
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to the development of the Trust through this leadership role, including close collaborative work with the sixth form college in our Trust

Letters of application should cover no more than two sides of A4, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and emailed to the CEO’s Executive Assistant, Lynne Carley, lcarley@magnalearningpartnership.org.uk no later than 9.00 am on Monday, 7th February.

Interviews will be held during the week beginning Monday, 14th February.
