Headteacher

Following the promotion of the current post holder, Wyvern College requires a new Headteacher from January 2018. The post provides an exciting opportunity to build on the many achievements led by the current Headteacher and to work within a family of schools in our recently formed Multi Academy Trust, comprising three 11-16 secondary schools.

We are looking for an individual who:

• has the vision, energy and enthusiasm to lead Wyvern College to further success;
• can demonstrate a strong track record of school improvement work at a senior level; 
• is committed to ensuring that every student is supported to achieve his potential;
• possesses the ability to work collaboratively within both a Multi Academy Trust and the local community to promote a culture of excellence.

Wyvern College is a small (NOR 300) but growing 11-16 Church of England Academy for boys situated in Laverstock, near Salisbury. The school moved into a new building with excellent facilities in 2015. Academic results are rising and students and staff are proud of their achievements. The College is deeply committed to providing high quality care and guidance within the ethos of a Church of England Academy.
