Our highly respected current Head, who knows every child in our school, is retiring after 16 years and we are looking to appoint an equally committed and inspiring successor.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspirational leader to take the school on the next stage of its journey, as we are currently exploring the creation of the Sarsen Multi-Academy Regional Trust with like-minded local schools.

We are looking for a Headteacher who

  • Is passionate about teaching and learning and able to instil and nurture this in all children and staff
  • Is an excellent leader who creates an environment in which all children strive to achieve their best and flourish emotionally, spiritually, academically and socially
  • Will use their innovative and enthusiastic leadership qualities to support the strong teamwork of the school and ensure our dedicated staff continue to thrive, grow and develop
  • Has the vision, energy and enthusiasm to lead us into the next phase of our development
  • Is approachable and able to build strong working relationships through excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is an excellent teacher
  • Will work in close partnership with the Sarsen Multi-Academy Regional Trust
  • Is fully committed to promoting and embracing the Christian ethos of the school (SIAMS report rated good in March 2017)
  • Is excited by the opportunities offered by Rushall C of E School.

We offer

  • A small, friendly, rural school in beautiful countryside (NOR 114) with excellent links to the Church and wider community
  • The opportunity to lead a Good school (Ofsted report 2017) with a great team of dedicated, passionate and professional staff
  • A family-feel school with enthusiastic, happy and confident children
  • A creative, nurturing environment that supports and enhances our vision and inclusive ethos
  • A firm commitment to your professional development and wellbeing
  • A welcoming, experienced, supportive, and hardworking Governing Board.
