Wessex is seeking an exceptional headteacher with energy and passion for learning: a champion for children and their families, who has the presence and vision to lead our school successfully.

We are a large, thriving primary school with a Nursery and a Hearing Resource Base.

We are proud of what we have achieved and are on a continuous journey to be the best we can be. Our main aim is to provide highly effective teaching and learning for every child.

Wessex is an inclusive school and needs a headteacher with the breadth of experience to continue our achievements.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional headteacher who:

• has the vision and presence to lead from the front, to build on good practice and positive outcomes;
• has excellent and proven leadership and management skills, who is approachable, willing to share and delegate, listen and learn;
• who keeps up to date with educational developments and initiatives, and forms excellent partnerships with headteachers, educationalists and the community;
• will be seen as a visible figurehead, excellent role model - promoting our high expectations of pupils' behaviour and achievement within the school and local community;
• has the qualities and commitment to inspire all in our school to reach their highest potential; and
• has infectious energy, passion, resilience and ambition for pupil success.

Our children deserve a headteacher who:

• wants to help them learn;
• who cares about them; and
• who is fun.
