Job overview

Wirral is a fantastic place to live, work and visit. We are an employer who supports, who is flexible but who demands the very best. We want people who are driven, unstoppable, and ready to deliver.

Foxfield School is a popular, successful and growing special school for pupils aged 11-19 who have complex learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD, ASC). There are currently 141 pupils on roll. The school moved into new specially designed premises in 2015 and has excellent facilities and well as lots of potential for future developments.

The Governors aim to appoint a new Headteacher who can provide excellent leadership to build on the school’s current high standards and good reputation. The successful applicant is required from September 2020 and must have the skills, experience, vision and resilience to take Foxfield forward when the current Headteacher retires in 2020.

Our new Headteacher at Foxfield must have:

  • significant experience of working with pupils who have complex learning difficulties
  • good prior experience of being a successful special school leader
  • a strong commitment to working in partnership with governors, pupils, parents, staff and other services and stakeholders

Please contact the school on 0151 641 8810 or email schooloffice@foxfieldschool.co.uk for further details.
