We are seeking an inspirational Headteacher to build upon our significant achievements and shape our future success. At Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, students feel valued, nurtured, and empowered to fulfil their potential. We have a strong culture of inclusivity and close, meaningful links with our community.
Our journey into our new environment has been remarkable. Our most recent Ofsted inspection celebrated our achievements confirming an ‘Outstanding’ judgement, highlighting the strong relationships between staff and students, our ambitious leadership team and the extensive opportunities we provide for personal development.
At the heart of our success lies a commitment to excellence. We strive to continuously improve, never resting on our laurels, always looking for the next step to maximise student outcomes or improve student engagement. We are passionate about going the extra mile for all our students, supporting them to be the best versions of themselves.
Governors are seeking an experienced and successful leader with a proven track record of delivering educational excellence. You will bring strategic vision, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire both staff and students. You will understand the vital role of education in transforming lives and share our commitment to special education and inclusive values.
Ideally, prospective candidates for this post will have recent and relevant experience of teaching secondary aged students in both mainstream and special school settings. They will also be expected to evidence excellent leadership skills, which can be used to build on the school’s existing and long-established reputation for excellence. The new Headteacher must have a clear and well-founded philosophy for inclusion and equal opportunities, which will take forward the school’s specialist role in delivering outstanding educational opportunities to students on the Autistic spectrum in an ever-changing SEN educational environment.
You will inherit a dedicated staff team, supportive parent community and great facilities. More importantly, you will find a school community united in its values and ambition to provide the very best opportunities for our young people.
Our school is committed to safeguarding children and young people.
