North West Surrey Short Stay School is recruiting a new Headteacher.  Our current Headteacher, who has been relentless in securing school improvement, is now leaving us to pursue other opportunities.   

The Management Committee wishes to appoint a far-sighted, energetic, ambitious  and caring Headteacher, committed to inclusive practice, to lead and develop our school.   You will work in partnership with the LA and headteachers of the secondary schools in North West Surrey to continue to develop positive strategies for inclusion.  By working in partnership you will ensure students have flexible programmes which enable them to remain in education and not result in permanent exclusion. 

 Our 40 place Short Stay School has 2 sites, Pyrford and Kingsway. We offer a range of full time and part time intervention programmes to secondary aged students to help them to stay in mainstream education wherever possible. 

Our work is firmly rooted in restorative practices.   The school has recently been visited by  Ofsted (November 2017) and retained its good judgment.
