Badger Hill Primary School is looking for its next inspirational leader. Are you an excellent classroom practitioner with the determination to lead improvement? Could you inspire and lead our team of staff and children? Could you play an active role in our exciting new MAT? 

Badger Hill is a popular primary school of circa 200 pupils set at the heart of its diverse community. Rated as “Good with outstanding features” by Ofsted in 2012, the school now needs an injection of energy and creativity to secure future performance.  

We have a strong sense of community. Compassion, tolerance, and respect are at the centre of our educational outlook; we are a friendly and inclusive school. In close proximity to the University of York, we have pupils of many nationalities and faith/cultural backgrounds, and this enriches our learning and community hugely. 

We are at a very exciting point in our journey as a school. In 2016 we joined the Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust as a founder member. Pathfinder offers strength and support from a family of outstanding schools, whilst allowing the individual characteristics of our school to be retained and to flourish.  

2018 will be an exciting year for Badger Hill, with a major redevelopment of the school site and facilities planned, which will bring huge benefits to our whole school community, especially of course our pupils.  

Our ideal candidate will have a clear, focused vision to take our school forward, and the practical skills to turn that vision into a reality. You will be strong on the analysis of data and an excellent classroom practitioner, ready and willing to lead by example. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration and the successful candidate will also be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
