As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join our Health and Safety department, reporting into the Occupational Health, Safety and Security Officer. This role is full-time on a fixed term basis (6 months).


 


The successful candidate will ensure that the college complies with all Health and Safety legal requirements. You will responsible in these areas for the continuous improvement of the Health and Safety culture through: Health and Safety inspection and audits, assisting in the development of policy and procedure, producing reports and other pertinent information, supporting Health and Safety Training; and provide business support through advice and guidance on all aspects of these functions of the college.


 


To be successful, you will hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate or above and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience. You will be self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team player. You will have good IT skills and have experience using Microsoft Office. Your communication skills will also be excellent and you will the ability to relate well to staff, parents/careers, students and customers.
