The successful applicant will have current occupational experience of working in a hospital or other health care setting and have current Assessing experience.
You should have a good understanding of Apprenticeships and the apprenticeship framework and have the ability to deliver the QCF Diploma at level 2, 3 & 5 along with Technical Certificate, Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
Together with a nursing qualification, you will also have a Level 3 or above occupational qualification or equivalent experience and hold your A1 or equivalent Assessors award.
Experience of working in a general adult nursing role along with end of life or dementia care would be an advantage.
Ideally you will also have Cert Ed or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, applicants that do not hold this already will be required to complete this within two years of appointment.
With strong communication skills and organisation skills, you should also have the ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
This position will include marking sector specific distance learning books. Delivery will be on and off site, so a clean driving license and willingness to travel is essential. Learners in this sector area are employed in shift-working organisations; therefore the ability to work flexibly to accommodate these working patterns is also essential.
