Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Syon Manor College, Isleworth
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Contract: Term Time Only, Permanent
This is a great opportunity to join Syon Manor College part of Options Autism as a Health and Social Care - SEND Tutor.
About us
Syon Manor College is a new post-16 provision for young people with autism and complex needs. The college will offer a broad curriculum of academic, vocational and life skills learning including BTECs, GCSEs, Functional Skills and ASDAN accreditations which will work towards Employability or Independence and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
Purpose of Job
- To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all students in consultation with the college SLT.
- To teach BTEC Health and Social Care Levels 1-3 as necessary and ensure the effective delivery of the college curriculum.
- In consultation with the Principal undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the colleges’ curriculum.
- To work with the wider college team to provide a safe, purposeful and welcoming environment for all staff, students, stakeholders and visitors
- To be an ambassador for the College and Group including its work, its ethos and the positive progress of its students.

Essential
- Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people
- Outstanding classroom practitioner
- Excellent team player
- Ability to work successfully with students with SEND
- Specific pathway knowledge and willingness to develop
- Willing to undertake training
- The ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Experience of monitoring, tracking and leading interventions
- QTLS or QTS Qualified Teacher.
