Teacher of Health & Social Care – Permanent Part Time

Required for September 2019

The Board of Directors are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher, committed to securing excellent outcomes for all of our students. The ability to teach Health & Social Care at Key Stage 4 is essential, with the ability to teach BTEC Health & Social Care desirable.

The role may appeal to a teacher seeking their first teaching post or, equally, to recently qualified or more experienced teachers.  St Benet Biscop is a great place to work and provides excellent job satisfaction, as it is a very supportive environment.  We provide excellent on going professional development for teachers at all levels.

St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community.

We are part of Pax Christi Catholic Partnership, a Multi Academy Trust comprising of St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy, Bedlington and Ss Peter & Paul’s Catholic Primary Academy, Cramlington.  We offer high quality education in a Catholic Christian environment.

We work in close partnership with St Mary’s Catholic School, an outstanding school in Newcastle.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.

Above all, the Directors wish to appoint a teacher with:-

• A clear commitment to nurturing and promoting the school’s distinctive Catholic ethos

• A passion for providing the best possible holistic education for all students

• A commitment to maximising achievement through excellence in teaching and learning

• An excellent track record as a classroom teacher

Application packs, including job description and person specification for the post are available by accessing the Academy’s website: http://www.st-benetbiscop.org.uk/about-us/vacancies/ or by contacting Mrs Jane Marriott-Lodge, on (01670) 822795 Marriott-lodgej@pax-christi.co.uk

Completed applications should be sent to HR@pax-christi.co.uk

Applications from all denominations are welcome.

Closing date for applications:  by noon Monday, 20 May 2019

Our Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service and additional recruitment checks.
