Ardingly College has a new and exciting role for an energetic and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our busy Health and Wellbeing Centre team, working alongside the team of School Nurses.
We are looking to appoint a Health Care Assistant to join our Health and Wellbeing Centre working 40 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term time only). The hours are expected to be 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, although some flexibility may be required on occasion to meet the needs of the College and the Health Centre. For instance, later working hours on a Wednesday may be required but shorter working hours on a Friday could be offered.
To be successful, you will have experience of working with children and a keen interest in health promotion. Experience of working in A&E, Minor Injuries Unit or in a school environment would be an advantage.
You will also be an excellent team player and confident in working as part of a team as well as independently. You will be organised, efficient and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good, basic administrative and ICT skills.
Our Health and Wellbeing Centre plays a vital role in the health and wellbeing of all the members of the school community.
The salary is £14,417 per annum, inclusive of 4.1 weeks' holiday pay (based on Band 2).
