As a large 11-18 Academy, we have nearly 300 students on our SEND register. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can lead the work of other teaching assistants; lead on Access Arrangements and examinations and co-ordinate the annual review and IEPs on a rolling programme.
To be successful in this role, you must be highly organised and show good attention to detail. You will work with other professionals and parents to ensure all students have the provision they need. Our SEND learning area is varied and busy, so you will need to be focused, resilient and good-humoured, have experience of working in a team and have great interpersonal skills. You will need to quickly adapt to new working environments and possess high levels of emotional intelligence to be successful in this role. When appointed, appropriate training will be provided, particularly in relation to examination access arrangements at Key Stage 4 and 5.
