32 hours per week 

Term time only plus teacher training days

Salary: Grade 4 £19,698 - £23,080

Actual Salary:  £14,717 - £17,244

Cardinal Newman Catholic School are looking to appoint a committed HLTA to join our SEND department.  

The successful candidate will be an engaging person who wants to make a positive difference to young people and their lives.  They will need to be patient, empathetic, resilient and supportive and able to work as part of team and interact professionally with people both internal and external to the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work with teaching staff to develop individualised or differentiated learning for SEND students 
  • Identify and work with SEND students who are not making expected progress
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with parents of SEND 
  • Maintain records of provisions and interventions as directed by the SENCO.
  • Accompany and support students within mainstream classes where appropriate.
  • Undertake interventions where appropriate with SEND students and/or as directed by the SENCO
  • Support and contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
