(37 hours per week/36 weeks per year) (Term-time only)

The Higher and Adult Education Department are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to enhance and further develop our student experience. The Higher and Adult Education Support Co-ordinator will provide proactive, accessible and consistent support to students; liaising, and working in collaboration with, curriculum teams.

This role requires demonstrable experience of supporting students in either a Higher or Further Education setting, and an understanding of the barriers faced by students transitioning from Further to Higher Education. Knowledge of financial and other support services available to students is required as well as an understanding of relevant legislation.

Successful candidates will have a Level 5 or equivalent qualification, as well as a Level 2 equivalent qualification in English and mathematics. A Level 2 or above qualification in either; Learning/Personal Mentorship, Counselling or Advice and Guidance is also asked for.

Candidates should also have excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organisational skills with the ability to deliver guidance in a range of situations. The successful applicant will be passionate about supporting students and be able to establish rapport, and empathise with, a range of students from a variety of backgrounds.
