LAE Tottenham seeks to appoint a Higher Education Coordinator to support the work of the academic team to ensure that students make the most competitive university applications. LAE Tottenham is a selective 16-19 free school, which offers a rigorous academic curriculum alongside a broad co-curricular programme and exceptional pastoral support enabling students to access high tariff universities. In 2020-21, nearly 75% of students won places at Russell Group universities, from a cohort in which 51% of students had been eligible for free school meals at secondary school.
The Higher Education Coordinator will have oversight of the university programme, including student, parent and staff facing work. The Higher Education Coordinator will also work alongside the school's 'Chrysalis East' partnership team, which focuses on supporting students at local secondary and primary schools to achieve excellent GCSE grades and progress to high tariff universities.
This role is suitable for someone from a school, university or other education background, particularly relating to widening access.
The role is advertised on a full time basis, based on school term times, but part time applicants can be considered.
