Higher Learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Your opportunity

Come and join the growing SEND and Inclusion Team to support children’s learning as directed by the SENDCo working with groups of students or individuals ensuring all students have access to the curriculum in a safe, caring and learning environment.  In addition to supporting 11-16 students, you will also manage a team of teaching assistants and work towards implementing the School Development Plan priorities. Experience of working with primary school age children will be an advantage but not essential. This appointment will be for 33 hours per week over 39 weeks of the year - term time only (including INSET days). The actual starting salary will be £17,744 with an FTE equivalent of £22,500 which is Specialist grade of the GLF Associate Pay Scale. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am-3pm, (Thursday 8am-3.30pm).

Aureus School is a state of the art co-educational comprehensive 11-16 school that opened on the Great Western Park, Didcot in 2017. Aureus School is a highly ambitious secondary school with a rigorous approach to academic standards. We are ambitious for educational success for all our learners. We collaborate with local stakeholders, such as Oxford University, Culham Science Centre and the Harwell Innovation Centre to shape our offer as a STEAM specialist mixed school to create choice for the wider community in Southern Oxfordshire. The Details

Start date: 4th January 2022 

FTE Salary- £22,500 GLF Specialist Pay Scale
