The Higher Level Teaching Assistant — Reading Coordinator will lead, develop and deliver a targeted reading intervention programme for students in Key Stages 3 and 4 who are working below their chronological reading age.

This post requires previous HLTA experience, the ability to impact literacy skills and the ability to work sensitively with children who have additional learning needs.

Actual salary: GLPC SO1 pt 23 £33,003 per annum.

Working pattern: 36 hrs per week, 39 weeks per year ( term time only + 5 inset days).

St Angela's Ursuline School is a voluntary aided school based in Newham in London for girls aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.

The school was built in 1862 by the sisters of the Ursuline order, inspired by the vision of their founder and the school’s namesake.

Approximately 90% of the school’s population are from ethnic minority backgrounds.
