Are you an enthusiastic and positive individual with an understanding and empathetic nature?? The Constance Bridgeman Centre is seeking a HLTA to join our team at our Key Stage 4 PRU in Ilford, Loxford Lane, IG1 2UT.

About Us:


The Constance Bridgeman Centre is a Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit with up to 50 students aged 14 – 16. We have a vacancy for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, required to work with pupils providing additional learning support in numeracy and literacy. You will be working alongside teachers in supporting children with their learning with a particular focus on ALS (additional learning support) in numeracy and literacy.

If you are resilient, calm, have a good sense of humour, can use your initiative and are able to withstand challenging behaviour, we would like to hear from you. We expect candidates to have a good standard of literacy.

Role Details:

• Position: HLTA with ALS

• Salary: LBR 5 Scale Points 12 - 15 (£32,535 - £33,987 FTE)

• Hours: 36 hours a week (full time), 44.46 weeks per year

• Contract: Permanent

• Start date: April 2026
