Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a primary school based in Cramlington delivering long term cover work. The successful applicant will be required to work 08:30-16:00, Monday-Friday based within the upper Key Stage 2 (KS2) classrooms starting in September 2018.   

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will have excellent knowledge of working with children in Key Stage 2 (KS2) with sound understanding of the Literacy and Numeracy curriculum throughout these year groups. To be considered for the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you must:

  • Have experience supporting children in Key Stage 2 (KS2), particularly Year 5 and Year 6 
  • Have  experience supporting children with SEND
  • Hold a Level 4 or above qualification in childcare
  • Literacy and numeracy intervention experience essential 
  • Have a  genuine desire to become part of a committed team 
  • Have a  passion for identifying children’s varying needs and adapting your approach to match
