Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are minimum of a Level 4 qualification in childcare. 

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our successful supply team and work in a local primary school in Cramlington, Northumberland. This is a long-term Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role which will commence as soon as possible until July 2022. This position will be full-time, and working hours will be 8:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday.

The role

Working as part of a dynamic and effective team, the successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will focus on delivering PPA across Key Stage 2 as well as smaller group interventions, some general class support and 1:1 support. This role is varied, and the successful candidate must be comfortable working across different year groups (Year 3 – Year 6), providing a range of activities and support. The successful applicant must be comfortable with the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum.

Requirements

To be considered for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position, you will:

• Hold a minimum of a Level 4 qualification within childcare. 

• Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant, Higher Level Teaching Assistant or Teacher within Key Stage 2 (KS2). 

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

• Experience of working with children with ASC and ADHD would be advantageous.
