Hexthorpe Primary has an exciting opportunity for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our motivated, supportive team. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and expertise to work closely with staff to ensure that the children achieve their very best.

We are interested in speaking to candidates with QTS who would like classroom experience before completing their Early Career Teachers induction. We are a driven and experienced team that would relish the opportunity to support your development into your future teaching career.   

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A drive to make a real difference to children's lives
  • Recent, relevant and successful experience in a primary school setting
  • A HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • An interest in fostering an inclusive ethos in your work 
  • A wish to work in an energetic, passionate and diverse team. 


In this role you will:

  • Lead the learning for classes or groups of children following teacher’s planning and resourcing
  • Ensure pupil’s needs are catered for in lessons
  • Provide detailed verbal and written feedback on lesson content, pupil responses to learning activities and pupil behaviour, to teachers and pupils
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
