Fantastic opportunity to join our established group which is inclusive of our; Centre, SEND Hub, and Specialist SEND Post-16 College.
Specifically, we offer a wide range of therapeutic and alternative education services to young people across the Greater Manchester area. This is an exceptional prospect for an ambitious, values-driven leader to shape a new provision from the ground up.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our specialist SEMH/SEND provision. You will play an essential role in supporting high-quality learning across KS4, delivering targeted small-group and 1:1 interventions, and providing whole-class support where required. Working closely with teachers, the Head of School, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help embed our therapeutic ethos, relational practice, and commitment to inclusive, aspirational education for every learner.
The successful candidate will:
• Support the delivery of engaging, well-sequenced lessons that enable pupils to develop key skills across the curriculum
• Deliver targeted interventions—such as literacy, numeracy, communication or social-emotional programmes—to accelerate progress
• Adapt resources and scaffold learning to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND/SEMH
• Support outstanding safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing through consistent relational and trauma-informed practice
• Use observation, assessment information and feedback to help identify gaps and inform next steps
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, external agencies and colleagues
• Contribute to a learning environment and curriculum that is ambitious, accessible and nurturing for all learners
About You
We welcome applications from experienced HLTAs, SEN support staff, or individuals with extensive experience in specialist SEMH/therapeutic settings, AP, or SEND roles in mainstream. Above all, you will share our values, our passion for inclusion, and our belief that every learner can thrive with the right support, relationships and structure. Candidates must have full UK driving license and be able to transport students.
What We Offer
• £23–35k depending on experience, with potential performance-related enhancements
• The opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an established and growing specialist setting
• Strong support from the Head of School, Director of Education and wider senior leadership
• Significant training opportunities, CPD, coaching and professional development pathways, including SCITT for the right candidate
• A values-driven culture rooted in wellbeing, reflection and aspiration
