Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our English department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff. Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in and out of the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis. 

The successful candidate may have an English related degree, will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality of teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role.  This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.   

English is a strength of the school and the English department has a proven track record of success at GCSE and A level with performance consistently above average. Our department, strives to instil in all our students a passion for reading and writing that will underpin their development in other curriculum areas.
