Felixstowe Academy is situated on the beautiful Suffolk coast; a fantastic place to live and work, a reasonable travelling distance from London, Cambridge and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11-18 Academy and part of Academies Enterprise Trust (AET).
We are looking for an experienced HLTA to provide Numeracy support for students, the teacher and the Academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all, by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes, and to encourage students to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of students in all aspects of Academy life.
Felixstowe Academy has a new state of the art building equipped with a ‘super-lab’, a number of multi-purpose learning spaces, performance spaces, which are set in large grounds on the edge of Felixstowe. Technology is at the cutting edge of developments, with a successful Computing department that has four dedicated IT suites with the latest software and a supportive Network manager and technician. Achievement and participation in Sports and Arts are very high with students succeeding at local, county and national level. In addition, we can offer you a welcoming environment with supportive colleagues, good staff induction and strong commitment to training and professional development.
