About the role: Hartley Primary Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our highly collaborative and supportive team, supporting Key Stage 2. Our teaching support team is pivotal to our success in the classroom and provide a great deal of support for our teachers, and this position for an HLTA will strengthen the team even further with their knowledge, experience and additional support that they can provide our teaching staff with. Our successful candidate will be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike, be able to work as part of a team and will be reliable and excellent communicators.  A Level 3 qualification in childcare is necessary for this post. The hours are 27 per week - a great part-time opportunity within a very successful school! 


The salary offered ranges between £11,860 - £13,043 based on Term Time only (£19,799 - £21,775 full time equivalent), depending on the successful candidates experience. We aim to conduct interviews week commencing 28th February 2022 and our successful candidate will start in post as soon as possible thereafter.

  • Able to demonstrate experience with interventions and learning support
  • Candidates should have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent and have experience of working within a primary school

  • Possess a caring nature and a deep regard for children
