Due to an internal promotion we are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

Contract type: Fixed Term – 2 year contract 

Working hours: 36 hours per ween, Term time only + 5 training days (39 weeks)

Salary information: Scale 6; £26,844 - £27,746 per annum

Work Pattern: Mon – Thurs 8:15 am to 4pm / Tues – 8:15 am to 4.30pm / Wed -8:15am to 3.45pm / Fri – 8:15 am to 3.30pm. Lunch: Daily 30 mins.

Start September 2023 (or earlier if available)

Grange Park Junior School is a unique and special place to work, with a committed staff team and wonderful children who arrive at school every day eager to learn in our happy and vibrant community.  

The successful candidate will teach classes, covering teachers' planned and short term absences. In addition your role will include supporting class teachers; supporting individuals and groups of children and supporting with the assessment of children. To assist us in our journey, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
  • An good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and the age-related expectations of children KS2;
  • High expectations of themselves and the children with whom they work;
  • Dedication, energy and a commitment to working hard;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A commitment to inclusive education;
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
