Lower Fields Primary Academy is a 3-11 primary school located 2 miles from the centre of Bradford. Our school is a richly diverse school community in which different languages, cultures and religions learn together in harmony and are celebrated. Our school has a well-earned and established reputation in the community as a caring place of learning where all pupils receive a high quality education.

Lower Fields Primary opened in September 2000 on the site of an existing middle school. This has provided us with a larger than average building, set in extensive and exciting grounds. As a school we offer our pupils a rich and relevant curriculum with a range of stimulating experiences built in throughout the year. This is supported by our fantastic outdoor space which offers pupils the chance to: perform in our amphitheatre, go pond dipping in the wildlife area, build dens in the woodland and enjoy whole days of outdoor learning in the Kinaesthetic Park. In addition we have an orchard, polytunnel and grow beds where we grow a wide variety of produce to be used in our kitchen such as: apples, pears, plums, grapes, figs, potatoes, carrots and cabbage!

The staff at Lower Fields have high expectations of all the children, and would like them to leave school as confident, polite and independent young people, with the appropriate skills, values and learning to become successful in whatever their eventual career paths will be. We aspire to instil in all our pupils a desire to try hard to succeed in whatever they do, across all areas of school life and beyond.

The team at Lower Fields are ambitious, committed, hardworking and relentless in their drive to make a genuine difference to pupils. We provide high quality CPD through a combination of in school training and mentoring, Trust wide training with opportunities to link up with other teachers across Delta, and external training.
