Job overview

We are seeking to appoint motivated Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to work part/full time in our friendly and supportive school team. We are looking for HLTAs who are based in the United Arab Emirates and who could advance pupils’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with individual pupils/groups or whole classes from EYFS to Year 6, following the planning provided.

You would work on all aspects across the curriculum taught in English with the exception of P.E. You would be expected

to coordinate with class teachers around individual children and identify the next steps needed and provide feedback to the children and staff.

We are looking for individuals who have the following attributes:

  •  NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification and meet Higher Level Teaching Assistants standards. Or, you could be currently working towards your PGCE or be a newly qualified teacher;
  • Professionally discreet and able to respectful of confidentiality;
  • Ability to use ICT effectively to support learning;
  • Good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly;
  • Excellent literacy/numeracy skills;
  • English Language Level: Native speaker or fluent (IELTS level 8 or above);
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behavior.
