Job overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Marish Academy Trust is looking to employ a HLTA to be used to cover classes, work on interventions within lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3).

5 days per week; Term Time plus inset (36.25 hours per week);

Monday: 8:00-16:45 (including attendance of staff meeting); Tue-Fri: 8:00-3:30pm

Job purpose

  •  Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  •  Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  •  Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
  • Cover lessons under the supervision of the teacher as necessary.
