Woodlands Primary Academy and Nursery is a welcoming, inclusive school catering for children aged 3 to 11, where high expectations and compassionate care go hand in hand. Led by Headteacher Laura Brett, the school is proud of its strong community ethos and its belief that every child, whatever their background, deserves the very best opportunity to thrive from their earliest years through to the end of primary education.

At the heart of Woodlands is a knowledge‑rich curriculum, underpinned by the core values of respect, kindness, honesty, responsibility and determination. High‑quality teaching, particularly in English, reading and maths, is supported by targeted interventions to ensure all pupils make strong progress. Learning is further enriched through a wide range of experiences, including outdoor Bushcraft sessions, enrichment clubs, music, sport and leadership opportunities, helping children develop confidence, curiosity and resilience.

Pastoral care is central to life at Woodlands. Through the Jigsaw PSHE programme, a Restorative Justice approach, and the commitment of a dedicated staff team, pupils are encouraged to feel safe, listened to and valued, enabling them to flourish both academically and personally.
