Grade F - £17,575 to £19,260 per annum, pro rated (£24,496 to £26,845 full time equivalent)

Norwich Road Academy have an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their well-established team.

You may be a HLTA ready for a new opportunity or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to develop their skills in a new role.

Role Purpose

This role will provide support across the Academy by supervising and leading learning in classes to facilitate the release time of class teachers. This will complement the work of teachers, by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/ groups or short term for whole classes. Preparation and planning time will be built in to the role.

When not supervising classes as a whole, the post holder may provide in class support for a teacher or lead a group of children on a specific aspect of their learning.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a candidate that has:

• Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths of grade A*- C
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Level 4 HLTA or equivalent qualification or willing to obtain
• Experience of working in and supervising classes.
• A calm and clear communicator.
• A good knowledge of safeguarding regulations.
• A positive role model who is able to make positive relationships with children.
• A dedicated individual, who is hardworking and aspirational for our young people.
