We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for complementing the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for pupils.


This is a 32.5 hours per week, permanent, term time plus five days contract, equating to 195 working days per annum.


Grade 6, Scale Range 12 – 17 (Unqualified) (£24,496 - £26,845 per annum, reduced to £18,775.53 - £20,575.98 per annum due to part time hours and term time working).


Grade 7, Scale Range 18 – 23 (Qualified) (£27,344 - £30,151 per annum, reduced to £20,958.45 - £23,109.94 per annum due to part time hours and term time working).


We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

 

  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • will make a difference in changing children’s life chances.
  • has the skills and abilities to support children of all abilities and personal needs.
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
  • has the ability to form effective relationships with students and parents/carers.
