At King Ina C of E Academy we are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead and support the learning within our academy. You will be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers and prepared by yourself. This is an exciting time to join our team as we have very recently merged our Infant and Junior schools into one new school, in a brand new location and school building.


This rewarding role will suit someone with experience of working with a range of young people and who has knowledge of different teaching styles to engage all students. You will have a working knowledge of school pastoral systems and be highly motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.


You will:

  • Be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers.
  • Be a reflective practitioner
  • Be prepared to work across different age groups
  • Be solution focused and positive in meeting the social and emotional needs of our young people and open to innovative ways of working
  • Have the ability, drive and resilience to nurture the emotional health and well-being of young people
  • Contribute to resourcing of the curriculum
  • Organise and run intervention programmes
  • Teach lessons across the whole curriculum
  • Have successful experience in a school setting
