The role and what we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA.
In collaboration with class teachers and other support staff, you will support, plan, prepare, and deliver elements of learning to students on a one-to-one, small-group, or class basis.
You will work under the guidance of designated teachers and senior staff, undertaking whole-class cover and support programmes that enable access to learning for our pupils. You must have a real passion for supporting staff and children to create a rich, inclusive, and balanced educational environment. You will be positive, passionate, and enthusiastic with the ability to instil these qualities in our children.
We need you to be a highly skilled, positive, and friendly team player, who is able to model excellent spoken and written English and is dedicated to building positive relationships with families to boost achievement and wellbeing. It is vital you are committed to and skilled at helping children achieve, no matter what their starting point is. What can you add to our team? We are looking for somebody who wants children to achieve and develop their character. Is that you?
In this role, you will:
- Lead whole classes or small groups of pupils
- Establish relationships with other professionals or agencies to support the work of pupils
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school
- Assist teachers in offering guidance to support staff
- Prepare and develop resources for learning activities
- Report on the progress made by pupils
To be successful in this role, you will have at least NVQ Level 3 and GCSE Level C or above in English and Mathematics.
