Welcome to St. Paul’s!
We wish you a very warm welcome to the St Paul’s C of E Primary School website. I hope your visit to our site gives you a picture of the purposeful and, most importantly, enjoyable learning that takes place at St Paul’s. Our school vision and values underpin all we do for our children and their families.
Our vision: “We arise, shine and become who God wants us to be” reflects our Christian faith and the exceptionally high expectations we have of children’s achievement – in every way to ensure every child makes the most of their ‘God given’ gifts.
Our school values of “Faith, Hope & Love” reflect the teachings of Jesus as well as providing the foundations of our children’s future lives:
Faith – We can do anything with God’s help.
Hope – That our dreams and aspirations for our future will be achieved.
Love – To love others as you want to be loved.
Set in the heart of Walworth, close to some of London’s very best places to visit, our school offers a rich and vibrant environment in which we live and learn. We are a school with a religious diversity and a multi-cultural community that we embrace and celebrate.
The school received a good SIAMS inspection in January 2020 which recognises all the good things the school offers. It said: “Parents enthusiastically acknowledge the positive influence the school has on the lives of their children. [As one parent noted:] ‘In this day and age St Paul’s is the perfect setting’.”
As a school, we are very ably supported by the Southwark Diocesan Board and the Southwark Diocesan Multi-Academy trust to which we belong.
Our school is changing rapidly as we do our utmost to ensure that every child is successful and realises there are no limits to what they can achieve. To this end, as Headteacher, every single decision I make and action I take, has the progress and well-being of every child at its core.
Ali Silke Angela Batchelor
Executive Headteacher Head of School
