Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

Principal: Mr Stephen Tait

We are a junior academy and we are delighted to be based in the friendly, North Lincolnshire town of Scunthorpe with easy access to the stunning countryside.

Within our new classrooms, with interactive teaching walls, our outstanding library and our state-of-the-art technology rooms, we aim to provide a supportive, nurturing and safe environment where every child is challenged, encouraged and enabled to learn and excel.

We encourage children to take control of their lives and futures, and we want them to be proud of what they achieve in every lesson. As such, we place a strong emphasis on personal choice and responsibility, giving children the confidence to join in, to make a positive contribution and to take the right decisions concerning their behaviour and schoolwork.

We want you to help to take us to the next level.

To help you do that, we work hard to ensure we reduce workload on our colleagues, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of children first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

We will also actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all staff receiving a minimum of two hours’ CPD each week.

We also offer a generous employment package with a whole host of staff benefits, including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, plus a partnership with car leasing company, Synergy, with offers exclusively for Outwood colleagues.

As the legend on the wall of our hall puts it: “You make countless choices in all that you do; those countless choices combine to make you.” We are confident that joining us will be the right choice of your career.
