Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding role where you can inspire, support and empower students with additional needs?

At Brick Lane School, you'll be much more than classroom support. You'll play a key role in helping students develop the confidence, independence and resilience they need to succeed, both in school and beyond. Working within our nurturing specialist setting, you'll support learning in small classes, build meaningful relationships and help create opportunities for students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your classroom expertise with a wider impact across the school, including leading our exciting Personal Development and Future Pathways Programme. Through careers education, enterprise projects, independent living skills and real-world experiences, you'll help students prepare for positive and successful futures.

If you're passionate about inclusive education and want to work in a school where your ideas, enthusiasm and commitment are truly valued, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding support and learning opportunities for students. You'll lead learning when required, deliver targeted interventions and help ensure every student can achieve their full potential.

You'll also:

Deliver engaging learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.

Cover lessons and support learning across the school when required.

Adapt resources and activities to meet individual student needs.

Deliver interventions that support academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

Support the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.

Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, supportive learning environment.

Lead the school's Personal Development and Future Pathways Programme.

Develop links with employers and community organisations to create meaningful learning experiences.

Support enrichment activities, enterprise projects and whole-school events.

About You

We're looking for a caring, confident and enthusiastic professional who is committed to helping students achieve more than they ever thought possible.

You'll have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).

Experience supporting students with additional needs, ideally within an SEN environment.

Confidence leading learning activities and covering lessons when required.

The ability to build strong, positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence.

A passion for preparing students for adulthood and future success.

A creative, flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing needs.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and securing the very best outcomes for every student.
