Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Wansdyke School are seeking to recruit a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), starting as soon as possible, for this successful and popular school. 

Working Hours: 18.75 hours per week 

Contract: Fixed term until August 2023 (term time only, 39 weeks) in the first instance. 

Please note there is the possibility for this role to become permanent.

• are enthusiastic and self-motivated
• are able to work effectively within our hardworking, talented and friendly team on whole school issues
• enjoy working with children and can develop good working relationships with them
• understand and are sympathetic to the needs of young children
• have experience of supporting children’s learning
• have experience of or are willing to learn about the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• have a current First Aid or be prepared to undertake training
• experience of planning and delivering whole class teaching
• hold a relevant HLTA qualification or degree level qualification (desirable)
• are willing to provide regular staff cover and PPA for teachers as a HLTA
