The board of governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated, skilled, and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our energetic and passionate team. The successful candidate will be committed to helping our students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

●    Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities to small groups, individual students or whole class cover.

●    Assisting in the planning and preparation of learning materials.

●    Leading small group interventions and providing one-on-one support to students as needed.

●    Helping to assess and track student progress.

●    Promoting positive behavior and supporting students in their social and emotional development.

●    Working collaboratively with the teacher and other staff to create a stimulating learning environment.

●    Supervising students during lunch and break times, as required.

Essential Criteria:

●    HLTA qualification or equivalent (or working towards).

●    Experience working with children in a primary school setting.

●    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

●    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

●    A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.

●    Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Criteria:

●    Experience of delivering interventions for students with additional needs.

●    A good understanding of the national curriculum.

●    First aid certification (or willingness to complete training).
