Job overview

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic teacher to join our thriving and supportive History department.

Applicants must possess graduate subject knowledge and have high expectations. The ability to teach across the age range including A Level would be desirable as would the ability to offer another humanities subject.

History is taught from Key Stages 3 to 5; it is consistently one of the most popular choices for students both at GCSE and A Level. Many students continue to study History at University. We have a strong tradition of providing many extracurricular opportunities for students including overseas visits to Belgium, France and Germany and all members of staff make valuable contributions to this aspect of the department’s work.

This position has become available due to the increasing numbers of students choosing to study History at GCSE level.

Closing Date: 12:00, Tuesday 23rd April 2019.  Please apply at the earliest opportunity. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive applications from outstanding candidates.
