History Teacher

Salary MPS/UPS

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 as part of a strong History and Humanities team that aspires to achieve success for all students. NQTs are welcome to apply with a possible summer start.

History is a popular subject in the school and this is an excellent opportunity for a teacher  to contribute to the continuing development of a strong and dynamic department within the Humanities faculty. George Mitchell is a happy, inclusive and ambitious All Through school (3-16) and whilst the role is a secondary post, there may be opportunities for interested candidates to widen their role through cross phase or cross subject teaching to strengthen their professional experience. As a teacher at George Mitchell School, you will be encouraged and supported to develop and grow through strong CPD, both within school and locally, and through strong line management, both of which are strengths of the school.

Visits are encouraged. Please contact Androulla Christodoulou, HR Manager, on 020 8539 6198 to make an appointment.

Applications must be submitted by 12 noon Friday 15th June 2018. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 18th June 2018.

Further information about the school can be found on our website – www.georgemitchellschool.co.uk. All completed applications should be emailed to androulla.christodoulou@georgemitchellschool.co.uk. Please note that we do not accept CV applications.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Offer of a position is subject to receiving satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
