We wish to appoint a dynamic and forward looking History teacher for the duration of the maternity Leave of the Head of Department. It’s currently anticipated this will be January 2018 through to May 2018 but is, of course, subject to change. Candidates with salary expectations at the upper end of the range will need to evidence in their application and at interview how that might be merited. Applicants must meet the criteria outlined.
For January 2018 we require:
• An excellent classroom practitioner
• A confident practitioner who can quickly establish themselves with a range of classes including Years 11 and 13.
• Experience of teaching across the 11 – 18 range
• Candidates who can evidence positive contribution to a team
• Candidates who can demonstrate positive impact on learning and achievement in present post
• Evidence of securing positive outcomes for students
This is a temporary post which will mainly be to cover an established History timetable for the duration of a maternity leave. There may be the need to teach a small amount of another Humanity subject in order to reassign leadership roles.
Visits to the school are welcome and can be arranged via HR.
