Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with 1760 students on roll aged 11-19 years.  We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.

We are looking for a highly motivated and well qualified practitioner to take on the role of HLTA and operate as Deputy SENCO including line management Raising Achievement Assistants

You will be working within a strong team of outstanding RAAs and under the leadership of an experienced SENCO.  ‘Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported… these pupils make strong progress’ Ofsted 2017

The successful candidates will require HLTA status or qualification at an equivalent level with substantial experience of supporting students with SEND.

The ability to support students who have a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health issues is essential.   The ability to specialise in supporting children with autism or speech and language needs would be an advantage but is not essential.
