We are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully committed HLTA / SEN TA to join an amazing and ‘Outstanding’ special school in Ealing for students aged between 5 and 18 years who have a range of needs including emotional, social, behavioural, and communication difficulties. The successful HLTA / SEN TA will join the school from January 2017, on a long term full time contract with the potential to be offered a permanent position.

About the Role

  • Experienced and fully committed HLTA / SEN TA
  • Supporting students with ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties, OCD, Asperger’s and Social Emotional Mental Health
  • Working alongside teachers to support learning activities, helping to plan lessons and preparing teaching materials
  • Leading classes under the direction of the teacher and supervising other support staff
  • Full time long-term contract with the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate
  • Daily rate from £80  (dependent on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, The HLTA / SEN TA will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a HLTA status or an equivalent diploma/ certificate
  • Have proven UK classroom-based experience: minimum one term
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Have experience supporting students with special needs, particularly with ADHD, OCD, Asperger’s and Social Emotional Mental Health
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
