The governors and Trustees of Hillsborough Primary School wish to appoint 2 temporary HLTAs to work across the school to start January 2022.
The school is at the heart of its community and in November 2013 became a member of Tapton School Academy Trust. Tapton is an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Sheffield and the Academy Trust is establishing itself within the city. At the last inspection the school had a grade 2 Good judgement. Membership of the Academy Trust provides a range of opportunities for partnership working and continuing professional development with an outstanding secondary school and a network of primary schools within the locality. We are all working together to establish really effective practice for the benefit of every child.
We wish to appoint 2 enthusiastic and dedicated HLTAs to work across the school delivering tutoring 1:1 or to small groups of pupils and covering whole classes where needed. Some further training may need to be completed in order to qualify for delivering tutoring following national tutoring guidelines. This can be completed in school if necessary.
We are looking to appoint someone who is keen to work as part of a team and willing to inspire and motivate pupils and has a good understanding of school improvement.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact school to arrange a date to visit.
Application forms and further information regarding the role (including a job description) can be obtained at: www.hillsborough.sheffield.sch.uk. Completed applications should be returned to: enquiries@hillsborough.sheffield.sch.uk
Please do not use the Local Authority application form.
Hillsborough Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the interests of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The successful candidate must have the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and students and providing advice in accurate spoken English is essential to the role.
References for shortlisted candidates will be requested before the interview.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
Application form to be sent to Laura Canetti or Joshua Wilson at enquiries@hillsborough.sheffield.sch.uk
Deadline for applications: Tuesday 30th November 2021
