Finham Park School is the Lead School in the recently established Finham Park Multi Academy Trust. Primary and secondary schools in Finham Park MAT will set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all.

Finham Park School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted in 2015, for the second time. It is a Specialist College in Mathematics, Science, Technology and Engineering, a National Support School, and Leading Edge School.  It is highly over-subscribed with a growing Sixth Form of over 350 students.  We have recently been re-accredited as a World Class School in July 2018 – endorsing that Finham Park School is a place where all our students develop a love of “learning for life” and contribute on both the national and international stages.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic HLTA Support Worker to assist a visually impaired teacher. The successful applicant will join an established team who are committed to supporting the teaching staff to ensure that Finham Park students have the best educational “experience” possible. The role will support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process, by using their best endeavours and specialist knowledge to provide care and supervision to young people. Assist the visually impaired teacher in the classroom by verballising all visual cues and helping monitor behaviour.  Also support the visually impaired teacher outside the classroom in making resources and reading inaccessible text to the teacher.

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally. The school was re-accredited as a World Class School in July 2018.

Ofsted described the school as a place where there is a strong culture of learning and a proven track record of academic success, with students consistently making above average levels of progress in their studies in both Key Stages 4 and 5. The behaviour of the students is Outstanding.

Their eagerness for learning allows our teachers to deliver stimulating and innovative lessons that result in rapid progress. There is a clear focus on the development of teaching and learning through engagement in national research programmes with a strong structure of support at all levels. In addition, there is personalised programme of professional development and extensive opportunities for career progression.

The school is well resourced. New technologies are widely available and are helping to transform teaching and learning across a diverse range of subjects. In addition, ongoing investment has been made to the whole site - recently by upgrading science laboratories, STEM workrooms and the construction of a sixth form centre.
